John Buffum / Tom Grimshaw Audi Sport Quattro S2 Rod Millen / Harry Ward blast down SS2 in their Open class Mazda RX-7. Bruno Kreibich / Clark Bond Audi Quattro on SS2. Doug Shepherd / Ginny Reese in their factory Dodge Shelby Turbo took fourth overall and the GT win.
Steve Nowicki / Dave Stone DNF'ed in their Group A Nissan 200SX later in the event. The Larry Schmidt / Jerry Welc Dodge Shelby Turbo took fifteenth overall and third in GT. Richey Watanabe / Howie Watanabe blast down SS2 in their Gr. A Toyota Corolla GTS. Mike Grieb / Ernest Carpenter Dodge Shelby Turbor goes through the spectator corner on SS2.
The Rick Corwine / Dave Somerfleck SAAB 99 prepares for a right-hander at the first spectator point. Rod Millen / Harry Ward at afternoon service in Walker in their Open class Mazda RX-7.
